At designated locations. These locations will be provided to teams prior to the event.
Cleaning Start: Any time after check-in.
Celebration Lunch: 12:00pm.

Anticipated Event End: 2:00pm.
Parking
Free parking will be available at Legion Stadium during check-in. For individual volunteers, parking is available for purchase through city street public parking spaces, and parking decks. The City of Wilmington offers ADA friendly parking spaces throughout downtown. (https://www.wilmingtonnc.gov/Services/Parking). Team location parking information will be provided prior to the event.
What To Bring
We ask that you bring a positive attitude, a smile, and good spirits to all of our events. Please dress appropriately for athleisure. Participants will be walking, picking up trash, bending, etc. We want our participants to be comfortable during this event. We encourage participants to bring sunscreen, bug spray, and water as needed. We will have professional photographers on-site capturing every moment of the day. These photos will be available for purchase on the Festival website after the conclusion of the event. The Festival will provide trash pickers, gloves, and trash bags at event check-in.
Accessibility
Like all Festival events, all guests are welcome. This event requires lots of movement, walking, bending, and other physical activities. Clean-up sites may not offer ADA accessible sidewalks or trails.
Food & Drink
Participants are allowed to bring outside food and beverage to this event, however, there is a free celebratory lunch provided to all participants at The Husk downtown following the event. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. The celebratory lunch may not cover all dietary needs or allergy restrictions.
Entertainment & Activities
The Azalea Sweep is a great way to volunteer, get outside, give back to the community, prepare for Festival week, and spread Festival spirit. Following the Sweep, we provide a free celebratory lunch for all participants at The Husk downtown. During this lunch, there will be a raffle conducted by the Festival President, as well as a few remarks from sponsors of the Azalea Sweep.
Amenities & Services
Restroom facilities will be available post Sweep at The Husk. Any items that are left on-site by guests will be returned to the Festival Ticket Office lost & found. Guests will need to come to the office to pick up their lost belongings. Some clean-up locations may not have public restrooms.
Weather Contingencies
This is an outdoor rain or shine event. In the case of severe inclement weather, the Festival will announce any and all event changes on social media.
Ticket Information
Azalea Sweep registration will open on January 12th. To receive your free Sweep T-shirt, we request that all volunteers register by March 13th. We highly encourage supporting the Festival and the Wilmington community by volunteering at this event. All Sweep teams will be paid for and registered through the Festival Ticket Office.
