Tagged:  ,

The Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour © is sponsored by the Cape Fear Garden Club, Inc. The tour has been featured in SOUTHERN LIVING and is one of the longest-running and most popular garden tours in the South. Profits from the Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour are distributed throughout our community as beautification and horticulture grants; scholarship grants at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College; and support for conservation efforts at Battery Island, a National Audubon Society bird sanctuary. The Club is rapidly approaching $1.2 million in distributions to the community over the past 20 years, including $102, 400 from the 2014 tour.

Our 63rd Azalea Garden Tour opens with a spectacular Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This event includes all of our 2016 Azalea Belles, the Citadel Summerall Guards, the North Carolina Azalea Festival Queen Azalea, and Celebrity Guests at Hugh Morton Greenfield Lake Amphitheater. A reception, the Azalea Queen’s Garden Party, follows adjacent Dr. Heber W. Johnson Rotary Garden immediately following the Ribbon Cutting.
